With Lexie's grandparents, mom, sisters, cousins, aunts and more all hairstylists, she grew up in a hair salon. "I decided to follow in the footsteps of my family because I wanted to feel like I could make a difference in people’s lives, not just their hair. I want to help the woman going through chemo. I want to help the woman who has alopecia. I want to help the people who because of medical issues or even just genetics, are experiencing hair loss. I just simply want people to walk out of the salon feeling better about themselves."

is inspiration

As Lexie learns more from those around her, she is inspired to learn and teach others even more. "My clients, coworkers and fellow stylists inspire me daily! I love seeing their work and their techniques. I am always craving to learn new things for myself and to teach others. Continual growth is what inspires me. I love knowing that I will never know everything and that there is always something new out there. I enjoy a mix of everything to keep my job interesting, but I really enjoy watching educational, how-to videos and going to classes."

Learning and teaching are two of Lexie's greatest interests, even if it's not always related to hair. "I travel and teach The Foundation Method alongside my sister, Shaylie. I have also assisted in teaching extensions color theory by itself outside of our regular The Foundation Method course. I love to go and take classes of any kind. I want to absorb all the knowledge I can. I enjoy the feeling of being a student and leaving a class feeling inspired. Even if it’s something unrelated to hair! I just enjoy learning new things."
