We're often asked what makes Bohyme® hair extensions different from the rest. We've got a lot of reasons, but the first one you should know about is our unique hair coloring process.
Before hair is colored, it's already been gently and thoroughly cleaned in purified water and meticulously combed to remove any inconsistent strands, then the dyeing process begins.
It all starts with a super special, custom bath in a separate, monitored tank that lasts from 21 to 40 days, depending on the collection. Classic take a dip for 21 days, Luxe soaks for 28 days and Private Reserve takes a bath for 35 days. Birth Remi® is our only collection that doesn't take a color bath.
Bohyme® Ethos® features even more ashy and platinum tones than our other collections. How is this wide range of colors possible? It's all thanks to the high-quality Remi® hair that lets us extend the color bath to 40 days.
This color bath, as we affectionately call it, is hand-crafted using pH balanced formulations, eco-friendly ingredients, essential nutrients and exact temperatures. Unwanted pigmentation is removed and color deeply penetrates each strand to prevent fading.
The gentle and mild formula is designed to preserve the hair's cuticles, natural oils and essential nutrients. Our non-toxic coloring process ensures Bohyme® hair remains healthy, shiny and flexible. Coloring hair with bleach or in just a few days makes the hair less healthy and low quality. Our process is extremely arduous and time consuming, but necessary to maintain the health of the hair.
When it's time to get out of the tub, the hair is washed again with a mild, organic fruit shampoo and purified water. Hair is dried while conditioned through a special combing process. Strict temperature control helps prevent color fading.
